your light

almost three weeks ago my precious baby, Leeloo, has died in my arms.
I'm still so very sad and I feel a bit empty whenever I think about it? but I also feel warm. I can remember so many things of her! the way she used to lick her paws, the way she looked at me, or the way she wanted me to pet her little nose.
I'm glad that my other rabbit, Mickey, is alright so far. Mickey also needs a new partner, which is so difficult at a time like this. ahh...
a few hours ago I began to draw something, anything and it happened to be her. just the way I have kept her in my memory: happy, curious, loving, a bit overwhelming at times. the cutest little girl you can imagine, really!


ever since then
my chest feels
heavy but warm.

i want to believe that your light
just hopped
right next to my heart
to keep me warm
and safe.
